CPS Community Learning Centers Central Office
The mission of the staff at the Cincinnati Public Schools Community Learning Center (CPS CLC) Central Office is to facilitate the planning, development, funding, evaluation and ongoing establishment of CLC sites within the CPS district.
Under the supervision of coordinator, Julie Doppler, the CPS CLC Central Office monitors the progress of each CLC through ongoing communication with each school's Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC), principal and CLC Resource Coordinator. In addition, the CPS CLC Central Office relies on data gathered in the Learning Partner Dashboard.
The success of CLCs is attributed to the generosity of our community, including the tax payers who voted for the renovation of our schoolhouses in 2003. It is overwhelming how many partners, including a variety of organizations, businesses and philanthropic groups, have come forward to support district goals; that every student graduates from CPS equipped with the skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education and/or career training and be prepared for life.
Individual volunteers, everyday citizens of our community, support our students inside and outside of our buildings, making a seamless connection between what is learned in the school and what is reinforced in the community.
For our schools to transform, our communities must be revitalized. For our communities to revitalize, our schools must be transformed. They are dependent on each other and CLCs are the link.
