Bringing Joy in Every Season
2013 — Adopt A Class (AAC) engages many local businesses and organizations to “adopt” CPS classrooms to become pen pals, role models and mentors to students. This year, classrooms in over 15 CPS schools are benefiting from the generosity of these “adopters.”
December is a special month for AAC adopters who reach out to host special holiday/winter celebrations and parties for their adopted classrooms. They provide gifts, food, activities and fun to hundreds of students. The students and Adopters interact to experience the joy of giving and receiving, and build relationships through conversation and sharing. The students offer their gratitude by penning special “thank you” letters and cards to the partners.
AAC is a very special partner to CPS, and we are grateful for their tremendous work in connecting local businesses and organizations directly to our classrooms.
